Food can be said to be among the most enduring and accessible of cultural or folkloric expressions because of its place as necessary for the nourishment of the body, even as it can also nourish the soul. Few things, if any, more tangibly capture the essence of expressive culture than food, especially the classic dishes of a culture, and new classics are probably being established as we speak. So, it’s with this in mind that we at Caribbean Folklore set out to help you experience some of the classic food dishes of the Caribbean.
